Why is this SOOOO hard?!?!įYI~ I didn't like my Polaris at first because the ride was "too smooth" compared to my 4x2 250 Arctic Cat 2006!!! I felt like I went from a hoopy doop to a hummer So, I guess I just am not sure what "rough" means in terms of a tire. I have already bought the gorilla axles and the 2 inch lift kit (came close to just getting the gorilla suspension 6" lift kit - but thought it was to "manly"). We ride at River Ranch, Lake Wales, FL - it's 85,000 acres of just everything as far as terrain goes. So, yes, if I could ride mud all day, I would. These "puddles" turn into super sticky slicky stink mud that covers you from head to toe in a new ensemble of mud The water is soaked into the ground so the puddles are just pure sticky slicks of fun. Not really mud, just dirty water with somewhat hard/soft ground. during the winter they are just deep clean water that submerges your boat. the other 30% tends to be watering holes, as I call them. I'd say we spend 70% of our time making trails out of Palmetto fields, riding in sugar sand (Uck!) and clay/hard forest ground. If you have any other questions about the tires ive listed or about something else you may be looking at, let us know.ĪHHHHHHHHHHH - I'm a woman. If you ride mostly trail, look into something like the GBC spartacus or big horn. If you ride mixed trail/mud, something like the zilla, outlaw radial, or outlaw mst. In my opinion if you do a lot of mud/water, the only choice is an outlaw. The outlaw radial is smoother than the regular outlaw, but does not pull as well as a pure outlaw. Especially the new outlaw 2 with lugs that wrap all the way to the bead.

They are smoother than the silverback, but pull better in my opinion. Zillas are just as smooth as the swamplite, but pull better in the mud, and clean out better. They are horrible in mud, despite having mud in the name, and they are easily punctured. I would only recommend silverbacks on crushed wheels for mud pit racing. Silverbacks are known to grab and break axles, but if you are upgrading, they will be fine. They will rattle your teeth on hard pack at slow speeds, but gets better as you go a little faster. You definately give up ride quality though. Silverbacks are awesome in thick mud, as they clean out really well. They are also really light, so when you get in deep water, they want to cause your atv to float and go wheels up. They will pull ok through some watery mud, but they cake up quick in thick mud. They did ok in the mud compared to say a mudlite, but not as good as other lite mud tires like the zilla or outlaw mst. They are smooth at lower speeds, but seemed to develop a wobble at higher speeds. They wore well on soft trails and mud, but wore very quickly on any sort of hard ground. In my experience, swamplites like to leak air out of the bead. Like I stated, the swamp lite is not a terrible tire, but it just isn't a pure mud tire.
GORILLA SILVERBACK TIRES FOR SALE CHEAP TRIAL
I have done a lot of trial and error to get my atv to where it is now.

It is a really difficult choice, especially if you havn't tried too many other tires. I want to get through the mud.not get towed out. I'd be willing to sacrifice on comfort, before I sacrifice on quality and durability. I do a lot of sugar sand and hard clay riding along with lots of pure water pond riding and then the slippery mud.can't forget the make your own trails when we see acres of Palmetto shrubs either. Opinions and thoughts please - what's the tire I should get? Now, after reviewing several reviews, it looks like the Interco Swamp Lites are the "best" lasting mud tire with a nice smooth ride. I then was interested in Mud Lites XXL, until I saw all the negative reviews about not lasting. I originally was SOLD on Gorilla Silverbacks until I read a lot of reviews about rough rides at low level speeds. We've ordered everything, with the EXCEPTION, to tires/rims. My 4wheeler (Sportsman 500 HO 2013) is currently with a friend being upgraded with SEVERAL modifications, including, but not limited too: So, I'm torn on the above decision a bit.
